MEET THE TEAM BEHIND THE UTRECHT PHOTO CHALLENGE!
MEET THE TEAM BEHIND THE UTRECHT PHOTO CHALLENGE!

If you book a challenge with us, you’ll personally be guided by one of our game leaders: Carmen, Femke, Janne, Liza, Dylan, Leonie, Iris or Nathalie (yes, our team has grown after the picture above was taken!🚀)
AN OFFLINE EXPERIENCE WITH HUMAN CONTACT 📵 🙌
In a time where interaction increasingly takes place online, we are here to give you a complete offline experience.
Our game is fully analog: no apps, no ipads, no phones. Instead: human contact. Your game leader will meet you face to face and will give you a Polaroid camera and a physical map. Lose your phone and enjoy the city & each other’s company!
Pssst, would you like to become a game leader? Then contact Nathalie.

HOW IT ALL STARTED

I am Nathalie and I founded the Utrecht Photo Challenge in February 2020 (yup, bad timing, but after a number of lockdowns I could finally get started!). And this is the story of how it all began.

GAMES
For as long as I can remember, my parents have loved to turn everyday situations into something fun. My mom bought some juice that none of us liked? The one to guess the most ingredients would get to pick the unlucky person who’d have to finish it.
To this day we still hold our own made-up competitions, which have inspired me to create Utrecht Photo Challenge.

PHOTOGRAPHY
I grew up in a small village in France and moved to Utrecht, Netherlands, when I was 18. After life in the French countryside, I was amazed by all that Utrecht has to offer.
I quickly decided to buy a camera and start capturing the city’s beauty. I was going for my weekly photography stroll in September 2019, when the idea hit me: I wanted others to discover these beautiful spots by playing a game.

PERFECT COMBO
The Utrecht Photo Challenge perfectly combines my passions for photography, games, and the beautiful city of Utrecht. My goal is to transmit the best of these three elements to you, in the form of a city game.
