For as long as I can remember, my parents have loved to turn everyday situations into something fun. We were out of bread? We’d go shoot some hoops in the backyard to decide who would have to walk to the bakery. My mom bought some juice that none of us liked? The one to guess the most ingredients would get to pick the unlucky person who’d have to finish it.
To this day, while living 700 km apart, my family and I still hold our own made-up competitions through text messages. This creativity that I got from them is something I am really thankful for. For one thing, it simply makes life more fun, but it also inspired me to create Utrecht Photo Challenge.
